It is a moment of immense pride and joy as Saurashtra University completes sixty glorious years and enters its Diamond Jubilee Year. Over the past six decades, the University has imparted quality education to successive generations and nurtured productive, progressive citizens who have made meaningful contributions to nation-building.

On this auspicious occasion, I express my deep gratitude to our first Vice Chancellor, Res Dr. Dollarray Mankad, our first Registrar,  Shri J. M. Mehta , and all former Vice Chancellors, Registrars, faculty members, officers, and staff for their invaluable contribution to the growth and development of the University. On this special occasion, I also express my heartfelt gratitude to the parents who entrusted us with the education and future of their children, and to the employers and institutions who believed in our students and provided them opportunities to contribute meaningfully to society and industry.

Over the years, with the continued support of the State Government, the University has achieved significant milestones in the fields of education, research, and extension activities.

As we move forward, we remain committed to fostering transparent governance, accelerating digitalization, promoting excellence in education and research, and strengthening student and staff welfare initiatives to take the University to even greater heights of achievement and distinction.

Let us all join hands and pledge to make our University a greener, cleaner, smarter, and more vibrant campus for future generations, while creating an ecosystem that nurtures responsible and capable corporate citizens who serve the nation with integrity, innovation, and commitment.
