The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Saurastra University, Rajkot organized a 5 days workshop entitled

"Hands on Training Program on Sophisticated Analytical Instrument- Industry Perspective", held from 02 to 06th February 2026, sponsored by PM-USHA, soft component grant for multidisciplinary education and research universities (MERU).

The workshop aimed to equip participants with practical skill in operating and handling an instruments also, to understand the principles, applications and teouble shooting, fostering a collaborative learning environment. Over 5 days, participants gain knowledge by experts from various organizations like Dr. Pinaki Sengupta (NIPER, Ahmedabad), Mr. Prasoon Gupta (Emcure Pharmaceuticals Ltd.), Dr. Hitesh Raval (APC, Anand). Also, explored key aspects of various instruments like, gc-ms/MS, lc-ms/MS, HPTLC, FTIR, AAS, spray dryer, UV-visible spectrophotometer, DSC, extruder spheronizer, solid phase extraction, gel electrophoresis, PCR, tablet punching machine, lipex extruder, high pressure high speed homogenizer, up right microscope and many more.
