The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Saurashtra University, Rajkot, came alive with colors, music, and cultural fervor on 17th September 2025 during the grand celebration of Navratri through the event titled “Dose of Dandiya 2k25.”

The event was coordinated by Dr. Raksha Shilu and Dr. Arti Bagada, under the valuable guidance of Dr. Priya Patel, Head of the Department. The program commenced with an inspiring inaugural ceremony graced by the Honourable Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Utpal Joshi, whose presence elevated the significance of the celebration.

The celebration was marked by vibrant Garba and Dandiya performances, where around 250 students actively participated, dressed in traditional attire, dancing to the rhythm of festive beats.

The event beautifully encapsulated the cultural richness and spiritual significance of Navratri, fostering a joyful and inclusive atmosphere.A major highlight of the celebration was the Garba, Dandiya, and Aarti Thali Decoration Competitions, where students showcased remarkable creativity and artistic flair. Their innovative designs and enthusiasm reflected their deep-rooted cultural connection and festive spirit.To honor their talent and participation, winners were felicitated with awards and certificates, recognizing their creativity and commitment. These competitions not only added excitement to the celebration but also encouraged artistic expression among students.
